Professional Background

Tell us a bit about your background and what led you to Continuum?

Over the years, I’ve worked across industries where performance, efficiency, and trust are critical.

Jamie Dolpies Sales Director

What led me to Continuum was the opportunity to join a nimble team that’s pushing the industry forward with a smarter, more sustainable approach to metal powders and additive manufacturing.

What will your role at Continuum focus on?

My role is focused on growing new business and building strong partnerships with customers who use metal powders, particularly in industries like medical, energy, industrial, and gas turbines. I’ll also be working closely with service bureaus and contract manufacturers, helping them understand how Continuum’s materials can support both their production goals and long-term success.

What drew you to this opportunity specifically?

What stood out to me was the combination of innovation, sustainability, and real market potential. Continuum is doing something different — and doing it in a way that solves meaningful challenges in the powder space while creating real value for customers. I was excited by the opportunity to join a team that’s not only growing, but also helping shape where the industry is headed.

What excites you most about the work you’ll be doing here?

I really enjoy connecting customers with solutions that can make a tangible impact on their business. Whether it’s improving material performance, reducing waste, or strengthening supply chain confidence, those moments when a customer sees a better path forward are incredibly rewarding. Being part of a company that’s driving both innovation and sustainability makes that work even more meaningful.

Industry & Perspective

What’s one thing about additive manufacturing or materials that you find especially interesting right now?

I’m especially interested in how materials innovation is helping additive manufacturing move from prototyping into true production. As powder quality, consistency, and sustainability improve, manufacturers gain more confidence in scaling AM for critical applications. It’s exciting to see the industry maturing in ways that make it more practical, repeatable, and impactful.

What kind of problems do you enjoy solving in your work?

I enjoy solving problems at the intersection of technology and business. That might mean helping a customer identify a better material solution, working through supply chain concerns, or finding ways to improve efficiency and performance. I enjoy listening, understanding the bigger picture, and helping connect the dots between a challenge and a practical solution.

Hobbies & Personal Interests

What do you like to do outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy helping people grow, both personally and professionally. Fitness, coaching, and encouraging others to pursue their goals have always been important to me. I also love traveling, spending time with family, and finding ways to stay active and inspired.

Any hobbies or interests people might not expect?

I love salsa dancing and swing dancing — I’ve always enjoyed the energy and fun that come with both. It’s a great way to stay active and do something a little unexpected outside of work. I also have an appreciation for woodworking, which goes back to my first job out of college with Black & Decker. There’s something about working with your hands and building something from scratch that has always stuck with me.

Favorite way to spend a weekend?

My ideal weekend includes a mix of productivity and downtime — getting a good workout in, spending time with people I care about (and my pups), enjoying great food, and having time to recharge. I also enjoy weekends that include a bit of adventure, whether that’s traveling, exploring somewhere new, or just breaking out of the routine.

Favorite place to travel or a destination on your bucket list?

I love destinations that combine relaxation with a bit of adventure. Beach locations are always high on my list, but I also enjoy places with culture, energy, and great food. On my bucket list, I’d love to spend more time in Hawaii and Alaska and take a longer trip to somewhere like Greece or Italy.

Welcome to the team, Jamie — we’re excited to have you on board!
